Jason Megan is a qualified Associate Farrier with a busy and successful Farriery Business. He started his 4 year apprenticeship in 1986 with Peter C Handley AFCL, an ATF in Market Drayton, Shropshire along with attending Hereford College for Farriery throughout his 4 years of training.
Jason attained his ‘Diploma of the Worshipful Company of Farriers’ in 1990. Once he attained his qualification he started establishing his own business. He also spent a short time in Kentucky, USA in 1991 gaining more experience with in the horse-shoeing world and in 1998 worked with Farrier shoeing in Antigua, West Indies.
Jason has been, and is still attending regular seminar’s and training days again to widen his knowledge of new /current shoeing techniques, injuries and illnesses that Farriers come in contact with.
Jason over the years has developed a professional and close working relationship with local veterinary practices through dealing with remedial & referral cases and is involved with the Staffordshire Branch of the ‘National Association of Farriers & Blacksmiths’, as Treasurer.
